Australian and New Zealand Monster Hunters, it’s time to get your polished armour and sharpened weapons out for the ultimate battle. To celebrate the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Nintendo of Australia is on ‘the search for the ULTIMATE Monster Hunter’—and that Hunter could be you. Seems fans aren’t the only ones getting pumped up for the release of this long-awaited title.

Introducing this competition is a personal message from Monster Hunter series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto himself (and a koala).

Nintendo would like you to ‘show us how to hunt’, and I know fans out there would be more than eager to. The good news is, they are not too fussed with quality! All you have to do is take a video no longer than 5 minutes of you hunting in Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii, upload it to YouTube and send the video link to them.

As for prizes, you won’t be let down. The first-prize winner will get flights and accommodation to Nintendo Australia’s Melbourne headquarters to record the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate launch trailer, plus a copy of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Wii U and the 3DS! Don’t worry, though, four runners-up will receive a copy of the game as well, for either the Wii U or the 3DS.

Any excuse to hunt monsters is a good excuse. So go forth and cut tails!

Check out the contest at Nintendo of Australia’s contest page!

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released in Australia and New Zealand March 23rd, 2013, for the Wii U and the 3DS.

  • Is the contest for Australia only?

    • Charlotte Buckingham

Australia and New Zealand. Nowhere else.

    • Oh well. I don’t really have the right resources to make proper gameplay footage, not a good example of it, anyway.

  • Now it’s (Marge’s) my time to shine! All those hours of playing Tri are finally gonna play off! 😉

    Wait, only Australia? Not Europe?
