Last week, we reported that the Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game was finally going to see a much anticipated DLC. The DLC was scheduled to be put up on XBox Live around February 6th. The purchase of the DLC will grant you the Wallace Wells playable character and a brand spanking new online multiplayer mode for 160 Microsoft points (or $2 for PlayStation Network).
However, Destructoid is reporting that the DLC has been delayed and that Ubisoft sent them an official statement:
“The downloadable content for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game has been delayed for fine-tuning and to incorporate feedback from the passionate Scott Pilgrim community. Ubisoft is addressing feedback from the community on the best ways to honor retro games in the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game DLC in an accurate and respectful manner. Ubisoft, and the new team developing the DLC, respect creative properties and, of course, want to be sure to deliver a game experience that is a proper tribute to the Scott Pilgrim franchise.”
No word on when the DLC will now arrive but hopefully Ubisoft will give those waiting something really special.
