Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Logo

With the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the horizon, Nintendo of Europe released a video of the intro for the game. The intro is more or less Monster Hunter Tri’s opening, back on the Nintendo Wii, but now in HD and with a few minor details added like showcasing the series reoccurring  creature, the Shakalaka, as well as the Japanese version’s mascot monster, the Brachydios.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released in the West in late March of this year for both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

    “Shakalaka partner characters”…? Okay.

    Those graphics are beautiful.

  • Such a shame it’s only on Nintendo 🙁

    • ATG

      No its not a shame.

  • I recognised all the monsters except the end one… Was that Alatreon…?

    • J_Joestar

Don’t know what the localized name will be, but it is known as Guran Miraosu in the J version.

    • Oh, right! I just looked it up; I remember seeing it a while ago. I just couldn’t recognise it from a distance. Thanks!

Ahhh how I wish Capcom would make a true HD Monster Hunter game one day with new assets, not reused ones from 3DS/PSP.

    • I think that will depend on the Wii U sales. Nintendo seems to have the franchise locked up, so the only feasible way to get one would be on the Wii U. If MH3U sells enough, maybe Capcom will finally create an all new HD Monster Hunter.
