Aksys Games has announced its plans to release the Japanese action RPG, Muramasa Rebirth for the PlayStation Vita. Muramasa Rebirth is the follow up to Wii’s Muramasa: The Demon Blade. The game will utilize the Vita’s OLED graphics along with Muramasa’s beautiful hand drawn artwork that bring it to life as players enter the world of Muramasa. You can play as Momohime or Kisuke as you fight your way through ancient Japan, defeating monsters, evil spirits, samurai and ninja’s a like.

Is this a sequel to the wii version?

    • If you had read any of the above article, you would have realised that no, it is not.

calm down kid, ‘follow-up just threw me off. no need to get butthurt

    • I’m not butthurt, I was just pointing that out. No need to get upset. And fyi, I’m most likely older than you.

    • The ‘follow up’ description is deceptive, but it’s not a sequel, more like an enhanced port.

“a complete relocalization in English, and more!”

Does this mean it’s getting a western release and better yet with more accurate Subtitles

    • Undeniably, considering it’s Aksys (Blazblue, 999, Virtue’s Reward). And I’ll bet the translations will be far more clear and colloquial to the English speaking audience by these guys than that of Ignition’s.

  • Would love a 3DS version.

  • Good to know this game is getting a completely revised translation by an objectively good localization company. Hopefully there will be an optional English dub to go along with it.

This game was amazing on Wii; and if I had a Vita, I’d buy this version in a heartbeat.
