I can already hear my pawn exclaim, “Rejoice, Arisen! A new journey awaits us!”.
After a year of silence, Capcom broke the ice with solid details regarding the long awaited expansion to Dragon’s Dogma; Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Within the expansion lies a new adventure taking you to the ghastly Bitterblack Isle, just off the mainland of Gransys, where the player and their fellow pawns will discover an underground realm filled with 25 horrid new foes and over 100 pieces of new equipment! This DLC also adds new skills, augments, and customization for your Arisen and accompanying pawn as well as an option for Japanese voice overs and item appraisal.
The DLC is being released via digital download (Xbox Live Marketplace/Playstation Network), but also as a physical disk through retailers, both priced at $39.99 (Capcom is infamous for this, after all). On a side note, both iterations include various fixes regarding “easier travel and a more intuitive menu system”, all based upon player feedback, and all of the content from the original Dragon’s Dogma.
Be sure to keep your eyes open for Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen when it launches April 23 in North America and April 26 in Europe.
