Nintendo Download

Once again, the 3DS is the star in this week’s Nintendo Download. First and foremost, the demo for Fire Emblem: Awakening will be available on the eShop today for free. Though this is not the first time Nintendo has released a demo for one of their titles (Style Savvy: Trendsetters and Nintendogs + Cats both had a demo first), this is the first Nintendo demo we at Oprainfall are excited for. Most of us at the OpRainfall staff have already made up their minds about Fire Emblem: Awakening, as I imagine most of you reading this have as well. This serves as a nice way to keep us occupied until its release on Feb. 4th. For the rest of you, give this a download and check it out.

In addition to that, Nintendo released a new eShop title in the form of Tokyo Crash Mobs ($5.99) as well as a new Virtual Console title, Kirby Star Stacker ($2.99). There are also two new retail titles available on the eShop, including Disney/Pixar Finding Nemo: Escape to the Big Blue ($29.99) and Deer Drive Legends ($14.99).

The Wii U does get one new addition this week. The Amazon Instant Video app is now available on the Wii Shop Channel. This is the part where I normally make a snide remark about the Wii U eShop being neglected, but considering that The Cave will be available on the Wii U next week, I doubt that’ll last long.
