[Due to the Holiday season and a broken broadband cable in Sweden, this week’s Media Create article was slightly delayed. On the bright side however, there’s two week’s worth of sales numbers below – which means double the fun!]

Unsurprisingly, the two weeks following the big holiday season have, in general, been rather unremarkable in terms of large surges of games sales and new releases. However there is one attention worthy upstart title worth keeping an eye on: Fantasy Life for the 3DS. The game has already sold out in Japan, far exceeding developer Level 5’s initial expectations.

Here’s hoping these sales encourage Level 5 to localise this adorable little RPG to the west. I for one would jump at the chance to play a game which mixes town-life game play akin to Animal Crossing filled with charming open-world RPG quests to further flesh out some already infinitely addictive game play. Just take a peek at the trailer below – I dare you to tell me you aren’t even slightly charmed by the gushingly cute visuals.

Also, observe the sudden increase in Vita sales! It has almost doubled in sales since the week prior. I know it may be wishful thinking, but could this perhaps be the much needed rebirth we’ve all been waiting for?

[The next Media Create Sales article is due Wednesday as per usual.]
