I guess you can add another indie developer to the growing list of Nintendo supporters. Recently, Notion Games was contacted by Nintendo, inviting them to port their upcoming title Super Ubi Land – a 2D platformer similar to the likes of Mario, Kirby, and Donkey Kong Country – to both the Wii U and the 3DS. Their response? Hell yeah!

“We have been in touch with Nintendo and have subsequently been invited to port Super Ubi Land to the Wii U [eShop] and develop any other games for both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. Thanks to the incredible kindness of both AckkStudios & Emily Rogers who both helped tremendously, we are truly making our way forward in the industry! It’s a very exciting time!”

The developers don’t have a Wii U development kit yet, so they started a fundraiser to get one. They’ve stated on their page that they would like to bring Super Ubi Land, the upcoming Team Notion, and any other future games to the Wii U. If you would like to help them get a dev kit and make their goals come true, you can donate here.
