Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Yesterday, Konami held a press event in Los Angeles referred to as a “Boot Camp.” Not sure if there was physical activity to be done there but, thankfully, we all dodged that bullet as Konami was kind enough to release two gameplay clips for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance that they showed off there. You can check out those below.

The first video is a boss battle with the RAY we saw in one of the early trailers (you know, the Metal Gear that Raiden picked up and threw). The second shows Raiden’s sneaking interrupted by a rather strong foe – one that should look familiar if you’ve followed the game since its early beginnings.

Oh, and Raiden also puts on a Mariachi costume because… why the heck not?

While the fight with Metal Gear RAY was cool, I am a lot more interested by the customization system. It looks like there will be a lot of wacky things to mess around with. And who wouldn’t want to play dress up while cutting a bunch of dudes up?

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance launches on February 19th, 2013.

This would have been amazing on the Wii

  • I cracked up when I saw the sombrero on top of the box at the end. The absurdity of it all.
