If you have bought a European 3DS XL, you are in for a free game download. Customers who have purchased and registered their 3DS XL by January 15, 2013 will get a free game download from the Nintendo eShop. Nintendo is offering 5 separate games for you to chose from. Customers get to chose 1 of the following games:
- New Art Academy
- Super Mario 3D Land
- New Style Boutique
- Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask
- Freakyforms Deluxe
The download code will be sent to the email that you used to make your Club Nintendo account, which is required to qualify for the free game download. The codes can be redeemed between January 1, 2013, and January 31, 2013. As well as giving you ample time to download the game, Nintendo is offering this promotion to customers who bought their 3DS XL as far back as July 2012.
