Capcom takes us backstage on some of UDON’s current offerings that are slated for a December 2012 release.

First up is the Shining Hearts: Collection of Visual Materials, the second art book based on the ever so popular Japanese RPG series Shining Hearts, which Udon is localizing (Tony’s Artworks from Shining World being the first which was released last year in May). Featuring  a vast array of Tony Taka’s illustrations, a collection of artwork on the majority of the Shining Hearts series. Featuring character profiles,  sketches of the cast of characters, detailed lore and world building, and much more. As a fan of the Shining Hearts series, I was quite pleased with the first released art book, and I recommend anyone who is a fan to pick that up and look out for this piece of work.

Next up is the Read Or Die: R.O.D. Official Archive, a collection of artwork from the TV/OVA adaption based on the very popular Light Novel/Manga series Read or Die, (R.O.D. as it’s commonly abbreviated) which started back in 2000 by author Hideyuki Kurata. It contains many character art designs/illustrations and  insight on the creative process that went into the series itself. Definitely one to check out if you are familiar with the famed series.

Udon has officially stated that both of these books have now been approved and are either printing or have printed, and will be in stores in December!
