Fire EmblemNintendo has released yet another downloadable mission for you to play in Fire Emblem: Awakening. Called the “Summer of Bonds”, you get to go to the beach as a reward for saving a merchant named Anna. This means you get to see Chrom, Tiamo, Sallya, and Guire in their swim trunks as they fight off the plunderers that inevitably show up to ruin their day. So, if you were hoping for something like Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball, tough nuts.

Your custom My Unit character will also be able to have conversations with these four characters during the mission, meaning this is another mission built around character development for those who like the story. This mission is available on the Japanese eShop now for 200 yen ($2.50). Fire Emblem: Awakening will be available in North America in early 2013.

About Kyle Emch

Kyle has been studying music at college for about three years now. He's played the piano since he was 6 years old and has been recently been learning how to write music. He has followed the Operation Rainfall movement on Facebook since it started and was happy to volunteer for the website. Just don't mention Earthbound or the Mother franchise around him.

  • Awww, who am I kidding?  I’ll probably get this DLC even if it is completely ridiculous.

  • I always jump on new chances to get to know the characters in fire emblem. Knowing my insatiable lust for fire emblem in general, I’ll probably get all the dlc.
