Square Enix has ported Chrono Trigger to Android. This is the second smartphone port of the classic SNES RPG, the first being its December 2011 iOS release. Like the iOS version, Chrono Trigger for Android features touchscreen menus and virtual directional controls and buttons. As it is based on the DS version, it features Tom Slattery’s translation instead of Ted Woolsey’s. It also includes the Dimension Vortex and Lost Sanctum bonus areas, but not the Arena of the Ages mini-game, which remains a DS exclusive. In addition to English, it also supports French, Italian, German, Spanish, traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, and Japanese.
Chrono Trigger for Android requires Android v2.2 or higher. It is a 36 MB download. It costs $9.99 (USD/CAD) in the United States and Canada. Regional pricing will differ.
