The ESA has announced that E3 2013 will take place June 11-13 and will be held in Los Angeles, CA. In the world of video games, few events are as exciting or anticipated as the Electronic Entertainment Expo, aka E3.

Oprainfall was fortunate enough to attend E3 2012, and we were able to share a ton of hands-on previews with our readers, as well as news directly from the show floor. For 2013 we hope to provide even better coverage, as we’ve bulked up our team and we are now much better prepared for the craziness of E3.

It’s still a long way off, but we’re still extremely excited to know when the event will be held.

Are you excited for E3 2013? What groundbreaking reveals could possibly happen next year? Let us know in the comments!

  • Fire Emblem, Bravely Default, and Project X Zone will all be announced for an October release, probably within several weeks of each other because publishers always give us the games we want [all at once] instead of spreading them out.

Also, Zelda 3DS and Wii-U Blowout, a Kirby game on 3DS announced for September 1X, 2013, and more details about the long-awaited Smash Bros games.

    • Zelda 3DS is a definite. And yeah, we better get Bravely Default and PXZ by then goddammit!!!

    • i think thats alittle to good to be true in all actuality i think they’ll just show games that arent that impressive and if were lucky get some info on the games you’ve listed

    • At the very least, Fire Emblem and Bravely Default will be playable on the show floor. One is confirmed by NOA, the other is pretty much lying in wait so Square doesn’t conflict with some of Nintendo’s other key franchises.

    • about right, although I hope they announce something else instead of Kirby and they show a trailer preview for the new SSB(s)

    • The Kirby anniversary collection came out on 9/15 this year. Mass Attack was 9/20 last year. And I think Super Star Ultra was in September of 2008. Epic Yarn came out sometime in the beginning of October of 2009…

Kirby’s not as popular as Mario, so his releases are kind of under the radar, but really… there’s been a Kirby game almost every year…

  • I’m always excited for E3. Always.

  • Let’s hope Nintendo doesn’t drop the ball again.
