If you saw the teaser video that SEGA released two days ago, you’re probably dying to know what it means.  The numbers [2×5] and a bunch of sound effects from SEGA games gone by… Well, the wait is over!  Yesterday a new video was uploaded (embedded below) to announce SEGA’s MODEL2 Collection.  The collection contains five games they’ll be re-releasing (in two batches, no less) on PSN and XBLA.

SEGA Virtua Striker

SEGA Cyber Troopers Virtual-On

Cyber Troopers Virtual-On
A shocking entrance!  This game also had great influence on the gaming scene after its release.  Cyber Troopers Virtual-On also now has online competition.
Additionally, HORI is releasing a special Twin Stick controller.  Pre-orders are open on the 18th of October 2012.
The last two games are scheduled to be released early winter 2013 (December for Japan).  Their price is undecided as of yet.

Thus far these announcements are for Japan only.  Would you like to see these re-releases localized on PSN and XBLA?  Leave us your thoughts in the comments below.
