At a pre-Tokyo Game Show Sony press conference a few weeks ago, Namco Bandai revealed plans for a new game titled “Gundam Breaker” based off of the Gundam series.  Taking an interesting approach, the game is modeled off of the plastic Gundam models that one can buy at toy stores.  The banner above says that the motif for Gundam Breaker is “Gunpla”, a shortened version of “plastic Gundam”.

Players will be able to pit models of different sizes against one another, and each unit will have certain points where, like a plastic Gundam model, joints can break off.

Crafts & Meister, a Japanese videogame developer, will be in charge of developing the game for the Playstation 3 and the Playstation Vita systems.
