It seems that Katamari Damacy has become the newest resident of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. It will be part of the museum’s “Century of the Child: Growing by Design” exhibit. The exhibit is described as being “the modernist preoccupation with children and childhood as a paradigm for progressive design thinking”, which includes clothing, playgrounds, furniture, toys, video games, and other things. Katamari Damacy will be included in the games and toys section of the exhibit.

I’m currently studying for a Bachelors in Music. I’ve been playing the piano since I was only 6 and have immersed myself in the world of music, so I definitely have respect for the arts. It’s this burgeoning respect for art which drove me to visiting the Museum of Modern Arts during my trip to NYC. It was a great trip; a trip I would’ve enjoyed even more had this been on display while I was there. If you’re in the NYC area or are planning a trip to visit, you should definitely check this out before this exhibit ends on November 5th.
