Recently, Square Enix registered an interesting domain name: FinalFantasyVIIPC.com. Trying to access that page at this time of writing brings up nothing. It doesn’t redirect to any site related to Square Enix or lead to any new website. Other than that, there is no other information on this particular domain name.

Final Fantasy VII was released on the PC as well as the PSOne, though the PC version was published by Eidos. One would predict that Square plans on re-releasing this game digitally, especially now that Square owns Eidos. Others would say that Square simply decided to register the domain name before anyone else did to prevent another stunt like with what happened to Modern Warfare 3. We don’t know either way, but hopefully we’ll hear more about this soon.
