Game Arts has released a gameplay trailer of the upcoming Vita game, Dokuro, and a demo was made available on June 6th  for the Japanese Playstation Network.

Dokuro is a side-scrolling platform game where a prison guard (Dokuro) decides to help a captured Princess escape from the clutches of whatever evil thing is clutching her… *cough*. The game allows you to transform between both characters, by using the back-touch panel, so you can overcome the many traps, obstacles and foes that plan to hinder your progress.

The game has a unique, chalk-like art style with some hilarious, creepy, and downright bizarre looking enemies.  Three-headed pigeon, anyone?

Dokuro is set for release in Japan on July 5th.  Nothing has been announced with regards to a Western release.
