UPDATE: 06/12/12: The Kickstarter failed as it ended up being only $1500 short of the goal. We’ll update if the creators decide to start another Kickstarter.

Do You Remember is a kickstarter game  that needs your help. They need to raise around $4,500 in less than 24 hours. Think we can help?
Below is a description of the game from their Kickstarter page:

Do You Remember is a retro-style 2D RPG with modern twists on a classicsystem that is designed to provide customized experiences to the player’s gameplay decisions. Many will recognize that our graphical style and atmosphere are heavily reminiscent of beloved old-school hits such as Earthbound (Mother 2) and early Final Fantasy games. But we are bringing these classics into 2012 with modernized mechanics inspired by game mechanics like the time management from Dead Rising and the re-playable event jumping from Radiant Historia. A major focus of this game is to immerse the player into the nostalgia of their childhood while keeping each user experience unique and memorable.

These guys are very passionate about this game; so much so they both quit there jobs just so that they could completely focus on the game. You get different rewards depending on how much you pledge and some of them are very cool like getting a copy of the game and having NPCs named after you.

Below is the video in which the creators explain about the game and also show a trailer:

So if this game sounds like a game you would like to play, hurry up and pledge so you can help save the game before it is too late!

  • Look like rpg maker with some script… i won’t give money to save this sorry 😐

  • Good luck guy!

  • I have better things to spend my money on.

Maybe everybody should read the article:

So if this game sounds like a game you would like to play…

If it doesn’t, then go be negative elsewhere thanks!

  • shared it on my twitter an’ da facebook.

Sorry, this sounds negative, but after reading the article, it sounds fishy.

This doesn’t make sense. I understand contracting and incorporating, licensing, etc, but why the big push to have a make or break time of tomorrow? It doesn’t make sense unless they scheduled licensing, titling, copyrights, and ownership prior to having anything concrete.
I don’t know what “professionals” they plan on contracting, but there are tons of programming, artistic, and musically inclined freelancers just looking to spread their reputation.

Well, that’s my 2 cents. >_< Sorry, just felt like giving the OpRa crowd another viewpoint.

Do you even know how Kickstarter works?

looked it up and make sense why there is a make or break… that part is my bad
