Good news, indie game fans. Today, indie developer Pwnee Studios has successfully reached its funding goal of $20,000 for Cloudberry Kingdom using Kickstarter. It was not too long ago that Class of Heroes II had missed the mark, so it is nice to see some small projects successfully complete the campaign.

Cloudberry Kingdom is a sidescrolling game that utilizes a sophisticated engine that allows you to create your own level difficulty. The kickstarter had originally been funded because Pwnee Studios spent most of its resources on the engine, and needed a little extra push for the art and music.  The beta is now available on Steam. The game will be releasing later this year for PC and Nintendo’s WiiU.

About Clinton Nix

Former Volunteer- Clinton started following the movement back when it was still being hosted on the IGN message boards and with the Amazon push of Monado. He’s also an audio engineer, studying in Seattle and waiting for his big break into the world of audio (but not to the detriment of video game writing, of course).

Somewhere, the components for my as yet unmade future Wii U remote are shivering at the thought of this game, and the danger its incredible difficulty will put the controller in.

  • I went and funded $15.00 for the game so that I can get the steam version of the game
