After all the buzz around this particular game, we finally have a release date for Japan. Originally the news did not come from Level-5 but from Sony themselves when revealing the new list of upcoming Vita games; some new, some old. One of which was Time Travelers. Thankfully soon after, Level-5 announced that the game will be slated as a July 12th release of this year, which is the same date on Sony’s Vita game list.

While Time Travelers was originally announced as a 3DS title, Level-5 revealed it to be multiplatform at last year’s Level-5 World event. The game will be released simultaneously on PSP, PS Vita and the 3DS. The game’s price point for the retail versions are ¥5,980(74.99$ USD). The PSP and PS Vita download versions are ¥4,980(62.99$ USD).

“Time Travelers takes place on April 28, 2031 and follows an ensemble cast of characters when a crisis hits Tokyo. There are five viewpoints players switch between like a high school girl, a reporter, and a college dropout turned costume hero. The game, at least from what we played, felt like a visual novel. Perhaps, similar to director Jiro Ishii’s critically acclaimed Wii game 428.”
